Subject: [ferrethealth] Where are you all finding distemper vacs these days?

Jeffers is out of Fervac, as are the suppliers our vet uses (he bought the last of 'em).
We've always purchased our own Fervac. Area vets began using the Purevac some time ago but supply was not always available so we never made the transition. Our vet mentioned that Merial has similiar trouble with other vaccinations; that is, some others they produce are not always available.
Merial told me in a recent call that they currently have supplies of Purevac. However, to date I've not heard of the company that bought United producing Fervac in the future. Anyone know if there is a company that plans to pick up production for Fervac?
Heck, I'm not even sure if vets are aware at this point that the Fervac is no longer available...??? Our vet hadn't heard about United until I mentioned a couple of weeks ago.
So are there any suppliers left that have stores of Fervac? If not, are we all going to be hanging on the Purevac? What are you ferret vets and shelters up to with this issue? Just checking in...I certainly don't want to be without at any time. :)
