Since you mention no fecal problems or other digestive problem indicators I would be inclined while waiting for the further pathology info to do a CBC with Chemistry Panel, to check the electrolytes, and to do a thoracic and abdominal ultrasound since hypertrophic cardiomyopathy causes weight loss and is hard to spot (often impossible) on x-rays, plus it would be useful to know if there are further abdominal growths.
