symptoms as described by your vet as "ruined her villa or microvilla in her=
intestines" sounds very much like what I went through with Little Bear as =
a result of a horrible battle with ECE or other intestinal virus. He strug=
gled for a year and has ongoing weak digestion for some time since. He had=
several batches of antibiotics, the last of which was worse tasting than a=
moxy ( I can't recall the name, but it had to be processed with blueberry f=
lavor at the pharmacist) He is mostly recovered now, but only because I sup=
plement fed him 4 times a day with softened kibble blended with olive oil, =
added antioxidants from the vet and chicken baby food in addition to the pr=
obiotics. The vet called it Flora powder. The vet indicated that the ECE =
caused damage to the intestines which were essentially holes. The gruel I =
made allowed him to get the most nutrients possible from his food as he was=
not digesting adequately. I supplemented him like this for 4 months and t=
hen was able to lessen my hand feedings. He finally started eating indepen=
dently, but I continued supplementing 2 times per day for 6 months. He is =
now able to tolerate dry food, but I continue giving him my gruel to make s=
ure he never returns to the state he was in. To this day, 2 years later, h=
e is sensitive and has very minor relapses, but I have only to supplement f=
or a feeding or two and he is fine.
