This is pretty much an administrative note.
Since the DIM protocol has changed over time and Dr. Ramsell is the only one doing careful trials, whenever possible with the ferrets having actually been tested to make sure that the disease present really is DIM instead of one of the things that can look like it outwardly, it is important for people and their vets to remember that protocols alter and so can results as progress is made.
There is an aspect of this letter, though, which is best replied to only in private mails with Barb, and that is the portion involving anger, disappointment, and other high emotion. I am not saying that such pain should not be addressed. It is very real and terrible and all our hearts immediately go out to Barb on reading as is only natural. The problem is that it could flood the list, taking away attention from those needing medical help right now, so I am sending a moderator's reminder that that part is best done in private mails just as we do with sympathy mails and other private notes. Many thanks for remembering that.
