Subject: [ferrethealth] treating thyroid problems

My vet wanted me to ask about treating hypothyroid in ferrets--the dosages, meds, etc., including any precedent. He says Buddy's problems all seem to be linked, that they look like low thyroid, that he's willing to treat for that, but that he wants to do so safely. I looked at the posts about this, but wasn't able to find anything specific about treatment. Does anyone have any suggestions, or would any vets with knowledge or experience in this area be willing to confer with my vet?
