Definitely a paper to find and keep!
The work was done by Wickstrom and Easton, New Zealand and Canadian experts
On page 61 note in relation to just skin exposure from pyretrins: disorientation, depression, weakness, anorexia, vomiting, melena, icterus, etc. straight through to coma in symptoms. It is hard on my eyes but when I increase the size it is annoying to click back and forth between the windows so I did not note all.
BUT I do NOT have time to read the article, so do, please, check it to see if that particular one is safer, and if it is then let us all know.
That pdf above kind of made me think, "Huh?" when I first saw a 2003 reference in:

Is that the pyrethrin in the worrisome flea collars which have caused bone marrow suppression?
Certainly, there have been mentions in the FML, and think perhaps in the FHL about ferrets who died after exposures to pyrethrins, both natural and synthetic.
Personally, I think asking the professionals at the ASPCA Poison Control Center or the Angell Memoral Poison Control Center really makes sense.
