Subject: [ferrethealth] RE: Update on Sick Ferret
DIM is not diagnosed by blood tests. It is diagnosed from specific muscle biopsies. The pathology work is done mainly in two locations: Northwest Zoopath and periodically at Michigan State.
There are a number of things that can look like DIM.
The work on treatments is being done by Dr. Katrina Ramsell.
I will send you the contact information.
Dr. Mike Garner will be lecturing on the pathology work to date in the coming symposium in Canada. Link from the IFC site to read about that.
Dr. Ramsell has written on DIM for Ferrets magazine, and has spoken at the AFA vet conference.
