Also consider the possibility of a prostatic cyst at this point.

Surgery is the preferred approach when possible. Since you are
unsure which adrenal is the culprit be sure to have either
Prednisolone, and either Fludrocort/Florinef or Percorten ready to
use in case both come out.

If there is a prostatic cyst there are two possible surgical methods
that will allow draining of either that or a related abscess:
omentalization and marsupialization.

Here are meds used when a prostate is up:
Lupron
and
Melatonin
since each tackles the hormonal causes in different ways so they
compliment each other
Arimidex
has also been used to inhibit the estrogens that over-produce in all
adrenal disease ferrets (Both genders have both estrogens and
androgens.)
If there are high amounts of androgens (less common in general, but
think of it when a prostate is up or a ferret is aggressive, or both)
then
Casodex
may be used
and
prostate-specific drugs
Propecia/Proscar
Some ferrets may be helped by this off-label use of
Flomax
I think that I might be forgetting one med, so you will want to check
the archives to be safest.

See what dose of Lupron you are using, too, and be sure that it is
the Lupron Depot, NOT the 24 hour Lupron. For info on that see:
