Is this a really good ferret vet? The reason I ask is that Buddy was diagnosed with a
chest mass last fall. I was told to just make him comfortable and get ready. We even
talked about euthanasia, as the vet said he had to be in a lot of pain. The vet said that
if he didn't know Buddy and only saw the x-ray, he'd give him a few days, a week tops.
Having met him, he said maybe a month tops. About a month ago I brought him back
in and we redid the xray. No mass. It seems that if the vet doesn't straighten the spine
for the xray, the natural ferret hunching motion creates kind of a hollow which can
look like a mass.
