It is possible for some things to show in certain positions but not others, and perhaps for some to decrease on their own.
I do NOT know if this happens in ferrets but long ago it was thought that I had developed a lung mass. Instead it turned out that I had a lymph node behind a lung that was temporarily very inflamed. Luckily, instead of jumping immediately the choice was made to wait and see what later images looked like, and those told the correct story.
