Subject: [ferrethealth] RE: chest mass
The ferret vet who diagnosed Bear's chest mass is one of the best ferret vets out
there, so yes, I trust his diagnosis. He said that these masses often do not get any
bigger, so we are just going to re x-ray him every few months. Yes, this vet has
surgically removed chest masses before. But I do not wish to put Bear through another
surgery; his kidneys are more my concern for the long-term right now.
Bear was diagnosed back in December, but he's still symptom free and obviously it's
April. (OK, his only symptom would be fatigue, maybe. since his blood sugar is now
normal, he should be a bit more active.)
