Ah, you said "brought something in", but the dogs had flea and tick treatments then? Some of the types of those that can be used on dogs are dangerous for ferrets; for example, some are toxic to ferret marrow.
Do you know WHAT treatments the person used?
Has Animal Poison Control been contacted?
