It is important to let this person know that giving full information would really help.

If the marrow has been poisoned there is information in the archives on transfusions (Ferrets do not have blood types.), meds like Epogen, and even marrow transplants:
http://ferrethealth.org/archive/browse.php?msg=SG16195

If the marrow has been damaged then all that melatonin given may be good because marrow has a high melatonin content.

Please, try to find out exactly what treatments these dogs had, how recent they were, other details like if the dogs rolled wet on the beds and if the beds were wet or dry when the ferrets got in them, and also if the ferrets were involved with dog flea collars.
