Subject: [ferrethealth] RE: Suspected insulinoma

No non-fasting test done. the vet checked her over as well as the glucose test and was satisfied she was ok.
I didnt think that she was <not doing well> It was the prostration and trances that caught my attention. When she is active she is really hyperactive, she plays as if there is no tommorow and always wants to be out of the cage.
One of my previous ferrets sometimes went prostrate at an early age but it was during long outside walks on a long 20 yard extending lead in warm weather and she would cover a good half mile at a good pace, she would even attempt to climb trees.
I am probably being over cautious having lost that ferret to insulinoma last year aged 6.
