Subject: [ferrethealth] insulinoma and IBD food and ingredients
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

Someone in another group I'm in posted a message asking about a type of food and if anyone has tried it before.

According to what I've also researched about this food it's supposed to be good for insulinoma and IBD.

It has 50% protein and 22% fat.

The only thing I question is in the ingredients. The ingredients say it has pork protein, potato starch, and something about fermentation product dehydrated.
Are these ingredients really safe to feed ferrets?

Has anyone ever given their ferrets food with these ingredients before?

I really find it hard to believe that pork is good for ferrets and I don't like the thought of anything being fermented in my ferrets' food.

I don't eat pork and I'm not sure if I want my ferrets to eat pork. However, if I know that it is healthy for them and it may indeed help my ferrets with IBD and low blood glucose than I will try it.

Thank you in advance for any and all help,

Sheryl
