WOW Caity- I don't lknow about the 90 days UNLESS you
are dealing with juvenile lymphoma. Her e at Ferret
Wise our lymphoma ferrets with the exception of one.
where lymphoma invaded the kidneys have lived a very
long time -- 9 months - 2.5 years with immuno boosters, diet
modification and small doses of prednisone on a full
stomach.

I DO AGREE that lymphoma is a horrid disease. It can
invade any organ and even destroy heart tissue, but
we have seen some ferrets that wanted to beat the
short longevity with this disease. I think if the
caretaker is a good observer and can manage several
different treatments that ferrets can live comfortably
much longer than 90 days in spite of the illness. It
seems to take a larger toll IMO on the human who works
to provide a comfortable and positive environment for
the lymphoma patient. We don't tell the ferrets they
have cancer-- they know far better than we do when it
is their time.

Fondly in ferrets,
