Subject: [ferrethealth] Carcinoma?
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

Hello everyone, thanks for your help. I am posting a pic of the grwoth
on my ferrets snout, hopefully it helps. He is 4 years old, and this
growth or soft lump has come and gone several times in the last 2 years.
However, now it is the largest it has ever been and does not look like
it is going to decrease in size. It is soft loke the tip of a finger.
There has been no change in his behaviour nor any other symptoms like
runny stool, noticeable growth anywhere else. I have read that it could
be squamous cell carcinoma or a blood sac....hopefully the lesser of the
two...He does not wince or squirm when I touch the lump.

I will post pics of it under "Snout Lump" in pictures link.

Thanky you all for your help.

[Moderator's note: the photos are very large so are blurry if opened. The clearest
way to see them until their size can be reduced enough to be in focus is to just look
at them with the album opened but the photos not individually opened and with
"Layout" setting reading "large pictures".]
