Subject: [ferrethealth] Pimobendan (Vetmedin) use in ferrets

Just wondering if anyone here has tried this? If so, was it used in conjunction with Enalapril or Benazapril? What form of cardio was it used for?
My vet seems to think it would be worth trying for my kid with valvular degeneration, but also mentioned it is usually used with Enalapril/Benazapril in dogs. She has no info on it's use in ferrets. Info I've been able to find on this drug being used in ferrets is scarce at best.
The only dosing info I could find was 0.1-0.3mg/pound body weight/day.
Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.
