Subject: [ferrethealth] fluid around heart
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

I took my little girl in January for a breathing problem, they xrayed her chest and found a spot next to her heart but no one could figure out what it was so they said to wait and see what happens. Now I took her yesterday because she was breathing funny again and they did another xray which showed the spot gone and now there was fluid next to her heart. The vet doesnt think it is a heart problem at all and wants to drain some of the fluid to see what is causing it. There is not enough to drain though so she wants to wait a month or sooner if she gets worse to see if there maybe enough build up then to drain it. She said this is a typical and that no one there has seen it before. This is the best vet I know of in Houston and I trust them but I was wondering if anyone here may have come across this before.

Thank you all.
