Hello Don,
First of all, I want to tell you that I am not a vet. Recently I read a story about a ferret in Holland that ws leaking urine. I am not saying thaat the cause is the same, but perhaps it it something you can talk to your vet about.
The ferret was leaking urine and feces for some time. An x ray showed that the ferret's bladder was 3 times as large as normal. The ferret was leaking urine because the bladder was overfull. This was caused because his bladder muscle is paralyzed. IN this particlar ferret's case there was no cure for it. His bladder has to be emptied manually minimally 2 times daily. The vet showed the owner how to do this. Of course, this is something you would need to discuss with your vet. I hope this information may help your ferret as having an overfull bladder that leaks is quite painful.
