Joe Bob's was. He was a very unique ferret in many ways. He was always a bit
doppy when excited-running straight into stairs, tripping over his own feet, etc.
ever since we adopted him from a shelter. His will to live was strong and he may
have just refused to give in.

Blood tests in ferrets tend to give misleading results because infections can also up
the WBC count a large amount. It was once thought that blood tests could be
diagnostic until that problem was found.
Aspirates are better than blood tests but can give false results in either direction.
