Subject: [ferrethealth] Ferret with gas
I have a 7+ yr old, neutered male ferret. He has recently developed signs of adrenal cancer (hair loss on tail, aggressive play) but we are holding off a while as he had surgery to remove an enlarged spleen about 4 months ago. I have noticed that he has a lot of gas- his stomach seems a bit bloated, you can hear the gas release when he is going to the bathroom, and it has shown up in X-rays. I am curious if anyone knows if this might be related to a medical problem. The vet did not seem concerned, but I would appreciate information.
