Subject: [ferrethealth] Light and Dark issue

I have tried to keep up the the information on the effects of light/dark ratio but I have not seen what the necessary ratio is. This ratio changes continually during the year so there must be an acceptable ratio. The other factor that I would like to know is are the dark time cumulative so that the ferret can have multiple dark times during a 24 hr period. I have ferrets that have at least a couple play times during the day and often one goes on into natural darkness. During the rest time they are in a darkened room but not pitch darkness. Sorry to ask such questions but I would like to know what sort of schedule I need to try to establish.

Thanks
Dave Adams and the bunch
