You have to really read the fine print on pet food labels to avoid
chicken--even most lamb&rice varieties contain chicken meal.
Since I've had several ferrets with food intolerance issues where we
believe chicken is the culprit, this is a BIG pet peeve of mine.
I've had good results with the feline Hill's Z/D and am currently
trying Wellness Salmon/Turkey/Herring Oil Formula--which they
seem willing to eat. Am working on getting them to try Natural
Balance Feline Venison/green pea kibble.
Wysong also makes some canned foods which are all meat--
available in Turkey, Venison, Duck and even Rabbit.
There definitely ARE foods out there, you just have to hunt for them
and then get the fuzzies to actually eat! :-)
