Subject: [ferrethealth] RE: surgery or no surgery, insulinoma and adrenal

I am very encouraged by this message. My ferret Sneeki is having insulinoma surgery
this coming Tuesday. She is 4 & 1/2. She had adrenal surgery about a year and half
ago, and has been great until recently when she began to show signs of the seizures/
symptoms of insulinoma. Darn! My husband & I questioned whether she might be too
old to pursue this course, but our emotions say no.
When the time comes to aquire another ferret, is there a breeder that has more success
than others in having ferrets with less illness?
Sneeki came from a rescue situation, but we knew the original owner, and he
purchased her at a pet store that gets their ferrets from Marshall farms.
