Subject: [ferrethealth] re: egg yolk
To: Ferret Health List <ferrethealth@smartgroups.com>

Is there some reason you want to give them just yolk and not whole
egg? The yolk contains all the fat (which is fine for most ferrets),
but the whites contain most of the protein.

I know there is some concern that raw egg whites contain something
that in large amounts interferes with the uptake of something else
(sorry too lazy to check just what right now!), but whole cooked eggs
are fine. They can be chopped boiled eggs or scrambled eggs.
