Subject: [ferrethealth] treating AIHA
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com
Hello :
I searched the archives but I found few posts for treating auto immune hemolytic anemia. As I've said, my Erin has been diagnosed with it. Black bile is about all that comes out the business end. she's on carafate, 3 times a day (1/8 of a table, mixed in 3cc of water), pedilyte, 1.75ml/twice daily of pred (5mg/5ml mix and she's a little under 2 pounds). I'm also giving her nutrical and she has free feed Totally ferret if she wants it. What else can I be doing for her (and she has another vet appointment tomorrow) and what about whipping cream? my dr suggested it but how much is okay for her to have?
thanks in advance
raven, erin and becki
