Subject: [ferrethealth] glucose meters

Has anyone had any experience with Fast Check by Life Scan glucose
meters? If so, how accurate are they?
My ferret inexperienced vet uses this brand of meter and I thought I
read somewhere that in some meters you have to multiply the reading by a
certain number to get the true measure for ferrets.
Also, because it's so very expensive to have my ferrets' glucose
checked at the vet's, I was thinking about getting one of my own. Does
anyone have any suggestions?
