Hi Shannon,
You are right to be concerned about giving
1/10 to 1/20 of a tablet to your ferret. You can not
cut the tablets into that small of a dose!
Two suggestions to make treating him much easier:
1) use liquid pred (Pediapred) so you can accurately give the
right dose of pred, and
2) use Percorten-v injections once every 21 to 28 days instead
of Florinef tablets.
If you still decide to use the Florinef tablets 1/4 tablet once a day
is the recommended dose.
