Hi Carol,
I am far from a vet but just from your description it sounds like
contact dermatitis, or in other words, something that may be either
irritating the skin, or simply just dry skin. Try increasing the
amount of oil in the diet, ie: flax seed oil or the Omega oils. I've
purchased flax seed oil capsules at health food stores and it's
worked wonders on the fuzzies and the dogs dry skin. I always look to
a natural remedy first as they usually can't hurt to try :-)
