Subject: [ferrethealth] Herpes Virus and ferrets

Hi,
My cat was recently diagnosed with having Feline Herpes Virus. Does an=
yone know if ferrets can contract this from cats? =
I keep reading that dogs and humans can=92t get it so I assume ferrets=
can=92t get it. Although humans can carry it on their clothes etc. and can=
infect another cat by touching him/her. =
Komay may be going in to have insulinoma surgery soon and I don=92t know i=
f there=92s a chance that she may get it since she will have a compromised =
immune system.
