Subject: [ferrethealth] The 2 gagging ferrets post

Hi everyone. I forgot to mention that I was taking them to the vet that day; also, the
post reached the list over a week after I believe I sent it.
One did end up to just have ulcers brought on by stress.

One is past the gagging and the other is not. The vet said antibiotics wouldn't help.
So we are doing carafate and making sure he is eating and/or getting water and
Deliver into his system. He likes it watered down for some reason (ewww!!!)
Thanks for everyone's advice. I will stick to writing on the website instead of
through email to avoid delays.

[Moderator's Note: using the website does seems to cause fewer delays, but it still
pays when a person remembers to put at least the date in the BODY of the message
since the ones on the website get re-dated to the processing date by the
Smartgroups computer.
Last night I received a message from Smartgroups support that something new
(unspecified) is going to be tried so maybe the damage from the spam attacks on
Smartgroups will finally be repaired.
Meanwhile, a 12 hour delay for mail to get to our processing box for moderation is
not unusual no matter how a post is sent, and then there will be delays until one of
us can moderate. Please, expect these delays.
Do remember that some posts, digests, and communications are going missing and
a larger number are being delayed for a matter of days, especially when posts are
sent by email instead of by the website, so replies as well as original messages can
be delayed.
