Subject: [ferrethealth] Pro Plan Turkey and Barley dry cat food
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

This is one food I've found that is well tolerated by some ferrets that
have digestive upsets with chicken based kibbles. It has also been a
kibble that some ferrets will switch a bit easier to than most others
in our home. Once the stock is gone from the shelves there will be no
more.

Because ferrets do not normally switch foods easily, I wanted to give
others a heads up on this product being discontinued so they don't have
to go through the process of quickly trying to switch to another food
and to ask for your help in trying to keep this kibble on the market.

Pro Plan Turkey and Barley dry cat food is being discontinued and the
company reps are urging us to contact them and give our comments
pertaining to this matter at:

Purina ProPlan customer information line 1-800-776-7526

They are gathering comments and requests to reconsider the
discontinuance pending consumer requests.

This specific food has been fed to a chicken allergic ferret that is
able to tolerate this food alone and quite literally saved his life.

Please take a moment to call or send an email to Keith Schopp, Public
Relations Representative: kschopp@purina.com

Feel free to post this message on other ferret and cat lists.

Thank you.
