By the way, our vet said one of the ways ferrets can
get this fungus is through digging, especially if they
stick their noses in the dirt.
That inflammation on the roof of his mouth may be the
same thing as our Sandman, which caused an oronasal
fistula, which we have attempted (twice) to correct
through surgery.
I have LOTS of photos, but what you descibes sounds
EXACTLY what happened to Sandman. The Fluconazole is
working, so you may ask your vet about it. He got
0.25ml by mouth every 12 hours for three days, then we
went to 0.5ml. It is a 3-5-month process.
[Fluconazole Aqueous (fresh) 20mg/ml Suspension]
