Are you the person who wrote to Ferret-Genetics? If so, with more details given there I think that it is also important to ask the treating vet if it is time to look for possible medical conditions that can stunt growth such as congenital heart problems, or if he is either just between growth spurts, or may be a naturally small individual.
If you are the same poster, and if the ages you give in F-G are accurate, though, he is unusually small. Do you have photos?
Is he proportional?
Certainly this may be genetic.
