If he is checked out by a vet and has been cleared healthy medically. He
could be going through a depressed state due to the change. Continue to feed
him or make sure he eats every 3 to 4 hours if you can... Make sure his
hydration is up. If he is dehydrated too much he may need to go to the vet for
fluids... Make sure that you are feeding him the same food that he ate before
you got him... He could actually be very sad.. Make sure his temp is up..
How long has he had this behavior? Give him more attention.. I sang silly
songs... If you have something like a bag that you can carry him around the
house in when you walk around.. Does he have things that smell like where he
came from? Sometimes, by washing everything you take away the scent he is
use too. Continue to make the soft food mix. Get some of that max calorie or
vita stuff... Increase his intake... If he is not very active and laying
around I use a clothes hamper as a emergency bed for the ferret. This way I
can carry it from room to room and he and hear and see me... Try scents.. I
am not sure where you live.. Take him outside... Too me....
Stimulation..... Stimulation..... Stimulation..

But, all of this is contingent if he was healthy otherwise... Meaning it is
not insulinoma or any type of cancer or tumors.

Good Luck,

Benita
