Hi Julie,
My name is Robin and I run FerretsFirst Rescue in VA. I certainly wouldn't
take such a hopeless attitude with the diagnosis of insulinoma. Many
ferrets live for many months to years being treated with prednisone and/or
diazoxide. Depending on her age and/or health, they can surgically remove
the insulinoma tumors that are palpable or even a limb of the pancreas. It
will also help to feed her frequently and extremely limit her carbo/sweet
intake. So keep the faith, though insulinoma is fatal it is usually very
slow acting. That will give you more time for extra hugs. ; )
Robin
