It's normal for the kids to hide how bad their feeling until problems progress.

Has your vet suggested starting Pediapred (the brand, not generic)? It comes in liquid
form and can be mixed with ferretone or duck soup and carefully fed by syringe. We
have had about a dozen of our kids develop insulinoma over the years and it has
helped regulate their blood sugar quite well. Most of our insulinoma kids have lived
several years after diagnosis. I think only one or two actually died because of it, and
they had been diagnosed 3-4 years earlier. They had sudden drops in their glucose
and we couldn't bring them out of it, even with applying Karo to the gums.

Good luck.

Sandra
