Subject: [ferrethealth] Swollen abdomen
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

19:15:00 GMT Daylight Time ( = EST US +6hr.)

Sue a 5 y/0 neutered female has developed a swollen abdomen over the past 72 hrs. Whole abdomen is swollen evenly with no masses felt. Eating, drinking, urinating and defecating normally. For 1-2 weeks has been only 50% of normal activity time but still active and agile.
Vet did ultrasound and found nothing unusual, attempted to aspirate abdominal fluid with no success.Blood taken no results yet.
prescribed Baytril 0.4ml ( 2.5% 100ml) in 100ml water. Is this correct dosage?

Any ideas anyone?
