Has your vet run fecal checks for coccidia?
The history of illness seems to very clearly raise
coccidia as a suspect from my point of view. Albon
would be the drug of choice but a fecal check needs
to be run. Coccidia can kill if not treated in time.
It is against USDA regs to ship kits infected with
coccidia ( a highly contagious parasite) but we have
seen a good number of cases in kits right from the
Petco this Spring!
Please bring the ferrets back for a fecal check
somethimes coccidia does not showe up in the first
test- they shed it periodically.
