Subject: [ferrethealth] RE: new sick kit, others now have it.
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

Only about of 1/2 of there stools had blood in them yesterday. 2nd day of things improving. Today things started getting worse again. 2/3 of their stools have blood and some small amount of green (dark) slime.

Vet changed meds today. All get Barium today and again in 5 days. All get (bd for two weeks) Batril and Metro.

They have already had three "at the vet" float checks for coccidia. These were done at three different vets. The third one was a "batch" check of all three's stools from two concecutive days. All three vets say (almost) no chance when I ask them if coccidia could have gone undetected.

I tried again today to get the spec. container (with liquid) that is used to collect samples of stools over a week and then is sent directly to a lab. I have now had two different vets say there is no such thing. A third refused to give me the container because he wasnt our vet. A forth changed the subject.

If anyone can help me (pref. a vet) educate my vet in this matter I would really appricate it. I am beyond being frustrated. I know that I did not annoy my vet with this matter, but only because it was my wife that ask. :)
