Subject: Re: [ferrethealth] Distended Abdomen & High Liver Value
To: ferrethealth@smartgroups.com

We just had Peanut back to the vet, she hasn't had a bowel movement in almost 36 hours, but the vet still refuses to do surgery. He says what is going on with the distended abdomen is due to her liver problem, which is going to take months to heal. He says she got into somekind of posion (sp).
I am at my wits ends as my husband doesn't want to spend the money to have surgery done, and now the vet is saying that she is too weak to undergo any kind of surgery. I feel totally helpless to help our baby girl.
One thing that is good is that she is still urinating, but feeding her takes hours. The vet wants us to feed her just A/D, which I have tried, and she refuses to touch.
I believe she has a blockage, the vet doesn't and my husband is siding with the vet.

Mary
