Subject: [ferrethealth] Hilbert's skin biopsies completed
To: co-list@yahoogroups.com, FHL <ferrethealth@smartgroups.com>

Hilbert has some type of severe bacterial dermatitis but they weren't
able to find out what type of bacterium, despite extra tests being
run. No neoplasia, no malignancy, no parasites, etc. He is
responding well to treatment, and will be on Amoxi for 4 weeks. If
problems resume after that we have to consider that despite needing
Fludrocort and Pediapred he might have had an overgrowth of some
hormone generating tissue which might have remained in the right
after he needed a vascular clamp for his Cava. (Hilbert's adrenals
themselves were not diseased when they came out but they were greatly
inflamed from irritation due to bilateral hydronephrosis when he had
cystine stones and a bladder diverticulum tackled, so they came out
then, too, because their inflammation was bad enough for concern.)
