Subject: [ferrethealth] lethargy due to insulinoma? arrhythmia? need advice please

I have a five year old ferret that has been pretty lethargic the last couple weeks. She just isn't interested in playing as much as she used to. I orginally chalked it up to the heat, as our house isn't always the coolest, but then began to suspect insulinoma when I found her dazing off with a bit of a twitch present. This only lasted for about 2 seconds though. No mouth pawing, or wobbly gait. Does not appear to have lost any abnormal weight (given that it is summer time). This ferret is very stable and otherwise extremely healthy. I am just a concerned mom that has noticed a bit of a change in her play habits.
Glucose (done in house) in April was 77 (she was sick at the time from the stress of newbies coming in to the house and not eating well, so we figured that was why it was on the low end). Vet wasn't concerned. Glucose three weeks ago was 77 (sent out with CBC panel). CBC panel shows all other values are normal. UA was normal. Vet wasn't concerned. Saw new vet on sun, Glucose was 94, but this was about 2-3 hours after having laxatone (for possible hairballs...tis the season) which has corn syrup in it. Vet said to recheck. Saw another vet today, Glucose was 88. This vet noticed an arrhythmia this evening when I had her in. The two other vets that have seen her have never mentioned this. A vet that saw her a couple years ago noticed one, but told me it was a normal thing for ferrets.
Given these ranges in glucose, does anyone have any recommendations? Is it time to start her on pred, or check her glucose again soon? How does one proceed with a borderline case like this? Could the arrhythmia be the reason for lethargy? Do you treat an arrhythmia and if so, how? "Good" ferret vets are hard to come by here in MN (at least in my experience), so any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
