We did a chest x-ray today on Missy, which looks normal. The plan from here is to do
an EKG, but this can't be done for a couple of weeks, as the only vet I know and trust
that has the capability of doing this is gone until July 15th. For now we are putting her
on a low dose of pred (0.5 ml of the 1mg/mL prednisolone once a day) and will re-
check her glucose in a couple weeks. We decided to try the pred, as her glucose was in
the high 70s twice (fasted for about 4 hrs prior). The 94 reading was a couple hours
after having laxatone, which is high in sugar, so we don't trust that number. The most
recent reading was 88, but I have no idea if this was fasting or not (I just picked her up
straight from work and brought her in...no idea when she ate).
