Peanut had 2 BMs since about midnight last night, they were small in quantity
and very dry and dense, so I think that would indicate that something is
getting through.

The vet's office called and said if the bloating continues and she continues
to have problems going poop, they are going to want us to bring her in so they
can find out what is going on once and for all.

Can someone explain what a barium xray is and how it is done, I used to work
in radiology and they had Upper GIs and Barium Enemas. Both used a barium
solution as the contrast for the x ray, do they call all barium tests barium xrays
now instead of differentiating them?

Mary

I could only imagine this being painful and possibly dangerous.

If this is a complete blockage the ferret may at this point be too far along
for surgery to be safe, though it might pay to try another vet on an emergency
basis tonight if you can, so that an expert can see this ferret.
