Subject: [ferrethealth] some new DIM stuff

Here is the pdf of the talk notes for Dr. Mike Garner's IFC Ferret Aid Symposium lecture .
Note that he hadn't realized that the latest treatment protocol that Dr. Katrina Ramsell has been using HAS saved some ferrets who have proven cases of DIM.

DIM is a recently noticed medical disorder which was probably first mentioned right here on the FHL as looking like a distinct medical problem. That was by Dr. Ruth Heller who treated some of the first cases seen. Definite cases appeared only in the last few years, but if a current guess on cause is right we might be able to see the end of it, so fingers crossed and we will see what happens when more is learned.

Look for an up coming journal article by Dr. Matti Kiupel and Dr. Mike Garner on this problem. I don't know which journal will be carrying it, though.
