Subject: Re: [ferrethealth] sick ferret
Have you checked the stools? If it is green...that is a bad sign. Bring your
ferret to the vet to get checked out. Ferrets can dehydrate quickly and can
go into shock. If you need to..syringe feed your ferret with moist food until
taken to the vet. I had a problem a month ago when my ferret, Snowy would'nt
eat and then I noticed green stools. We took her to the vet and she was put
on antibiotics and was put on kitten food to help her digest more since there
is a lot of protein in ferret food and it can be hard to digest if they're
sick. She lost a whole pound by the time we got her to the vet.. So I suggest
to get her to the vet ASAP.
Christine
