Subject: [ferrethealth] recurring Coccidia
I seem to be one of those with the recurring Coccidia.Or it sure appears that way.
I have some questions.I was told by another shelter Mom,to keep all kids in the cages for 2 weeks & this would help to kill it. Ok,they are mad but will get over it.
My question is,
1. If I spray alcohol on carpets does it kill the eggs?
2. Does Odo Ban work to kill this too? As in to spray cages with it daily?
We have just finished a 2 week regime of Albon & yogurt.We'll take a week off & start again with Albon.Want to make sure we kill this crud.
I have been using a diluted bleach on all litter pans & cage floors.I wash food/water bottles with bleach twice a day.Change bedding twice a day.Wash scoop twice a day with bleach,dump all litter.What am I missing?
I've yet to find a ferret knowledgable vet here,but am waiting for one to return to work.One that can do a fecl correctly.I really do miss my old vet.
