Subject: [ferrethealth] ferret with that weird poo

My ferret Bear has had these poos in the past, they are the yellowish ones
that smell awful, the kind that blow you away. He did this off an on several
years back and we would get rid of it with antibiotics the later it would come
back. During all of this he would loose weight too. The weird thing was the
fecal test would come back fine. So after all of the back and forth stuff my
vet suspected IBD, and put him on a small dosage of Prednisolone. He has been
on that for about 1 and half years now, and been doing really well.
Now the poos are back, the mucous yellowish, very stinky, and he is loosing
the weight again. Out of all the meds we tried he responded best to Albon,
the others didn't seem to help but only make it worse.
Any thoughts to what this is?
